VanJudge ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data processed via this website. Contact: privacy@vanjudge.app.

• Submissions — photos, titles, descriptions, optional name/email of submitter.
• Account data (admins only) — email, hashed password, role.
• Engagement — anonymous visitor ID (cookie/localStorage) for vote de-duplication, comments you post.
• Technical — IP address, browser/device info, pages viewed (logs).
• Analytics (only with consent) — aggregated usage stats.

• Run the service (contract / legitimate interest): publish submissions, prevent vote abuse.
• Moderation & safety (legitimate interest / legal obligation): remove unlawful content, redact plates and faces.
• Analytics (consent): only loaded after you accept on the cookie banner.
• Communications (consent): if you opt in for updates.

We use trusted processors to run the site: hosting & database (Lovable Cloud / Supabase, EU region), and image storage. Your data is not sold. We may publish your submission across our social channels under the licence in the Terms.

Photos of vehicles can include personal data (number plates can identify a registered keeper via the DVLA). Our submission tool requires plates to be redacted before upload. If a plate slips through, contact us and we'll remove it.

• Approved content: kept while the site operates, or until you request removal.
• Rejected submissions: deleted within 30 days.
• Server logs: up to 90 days.

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time

Where data leaves the UK/EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to protect it.
